The CZI TK4 Tethered Power System is a high‑performance drone power solution designed to provide continuous and reliable power for the DJI M400 drone platform. Featuring an advanced 800V high‑voltage power supply, the TK4 system significantly reduces line loss while delivering stable power to support long‑duration aerial missions and high‑power payloads.
800V High‑Voltage Power Supply for Lower Line Loss
The TK4 tethered system operates with an 800V high‑voltage transmission design. At the same power level, the current required in an 800V system is only half that of a traditional 400V system, reducing cable heat generation to approximately one quarter. The airborne unit outputs a stable 50V power supply with up to 4 kW of rated power, ensuring reliable performance for the DJI M400 and its payloads.
Stable Video Transmission with Strong Anti‑Interference
The ground station and airborne unit communicate using Power Line Carrier (PLC) communication, providing bandwidth of up to 100 Mbps. This supports high‑frame‑rate, high‑bitrate 4K video transmission. Video signals can be output from the ground station through HDMI or Ethernet directly to the command center, while strong resistance to radio‑frequency interference ensures stable and reliable transmission.
Longer Cable for Higher Flight Altitude
The TK4 system includes a standard 110‑meter tether cable, with optional configurations extending up to 200 meters. This extended cable length enables higher flight altitudes and improved operational flexibility, allowing drones to perform tethered aerial monitoring at heights of up to 200 meters.
Supports High‑Power Lighting Payloads
Designed for demanding aerial lighting missions, the TK4 tethered power system provides an upgraded lighting output of up to 1500 W. It can simultaneously power lighting combinations such as an 800 W ML200 and a 300 W GL300, delivering powerful illumination for nighttime operations, emergency response, and surveillance missions.
Grounding Rod for Enhanced Operational Safety
When operating near high‑voltage power lines, tethered drone systems may experience induced voltage that can pose safety risks. The TK4 includes a grounding rod designed to safely discharge induced current into the earth. The system uses a standard grounding interface, allowing operators to select grounding rods suitable for different terrains and operational environments.
Wireless Connectivity with Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi
The TK4 Tethered Power System integrates Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi connectivity, allowing users to connect to the ground station using a smartphone or mobile device. This enables convenient system monitoring and control, improving operational efficiency during field deployments.
