Precision Illumination for Nighttime Operations

The DJI Zenmuse S1 is DJI's first spotlight payload designed specifically for multi-payload drone platforms. Compatible primarily with the DJI Matrice 400, and also supporting the Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK, the DJI Zenmuse S1 leverages LEP (Laser Excited Phosphor) technology to deliver high-brightness, long-range illumination across multiple lighting modes — purpose-built for public safety, emergency rescue, inspection, and critical nighttime missions.

DJI Zenmuse S1 Lighting Modes

Low Beam Mode: 15° field of view with an illumination range up to 150 meters — optimized for short-distance search and inspection tasks when using a camera at 5× zoom or above.

High Beam Mode: Narrows to a 4° field of view and extends visibility to 300 meters. LEP technology improves light penetration, making this ideal for long-range operations with a 15× zoom camera or higher.

Both On Mode: Activates low and high beams simultaneously, retaining the Low Beam field of view while extending observation distance to 500 meters — maximum illumination coverage for broad situational awareness.

Strobe Mode: High-frequency flashing draws attention during emergency scenarios — ideal for search and rescue signaling and public safety operations.

High Brightness with Low Power Consumption

The DJI Zenmuse S1 delivers a maximum central illuminance of 35 lux at 100 meters, providing clear visibility in low-light conditions. In High Beam mode, the spotlight consumes only 17 watts, reducing the drone's power load and preserving flight efficiency during extended missions.

Built-in Safety Mechanisms

The Zenmuse S1 includes protections against overcurrent, overheating, and power-related issues for long-term reliability. The casing design ensures surface temperature stays below 50°C (122°F), reducing burn risk when handling after operation. When the drone is grounded, the light automatically dims to 40% of maximum brightness to reduce glare and protect operator eyes.

Streamlined Operation

The DJI Zenmuse S1 supports customizable remote controller shortcuts for fast access to all lighting controls. Assign buttons to switch modes, toggle the light on or off, or adjust brightness — enabling intuitive, single-handed operation in the field.

Built for Tough Environments

IP54 Rated: Resistant to dust and water ingress for reliable outdoor performance.
Operating Temperature: -20°C to 40°C, suitable for a wide range of field environments.
Lightweight: At just 0.76 kg, the Zenmuse S1 supports single downward, dual downward, or single upward gimbal mount configurations.

SDK Integration

The DJI Zenmuse S1 is compatible with DJI's Mobile SDK, allowing developers to integrate spotlight controls directly into custom mobile applications and optimize workflows for specialized nighttime missions.
