Equipped with Flyfire’s safety algorithm, OWL minimizes hazard response time to just 0.5 seconds. In urgent situations, the parachute can also be manually deployed. The descent is maintained at a steady speed of 3.5m/s (tested with a 9 kg weight). Additionally, a high-power buzzer emits a 110DB warning sound during forced landings, alerting pedestrians below to stay clear and ensuring their safety.
Installing OWL is a breeze. Simply remove the M300 arm screws (refer to the manual installation tutorial for specifics), replace them with OWL’s screws, and secure the bottom rack—all in a swift 50 seconds. The bottom rack doesn’t require disassembly for this process and aligns perfectly with the DJI M300 drone. Removing the parachute bin doesn’t interfere with folding the aircraft. When ready to use OWL, you can swiftly attach the parachute bin in just three steps and be ready to fly immediately.
Dual IMU and Barometer, Automatic Data Fusion with M300 Flight Sensors
OWL features a dual-redundant sensor design, seamlessly integrating DJI’s environmental perception data with its own sensor information through Flyfire’s safety algorithm. In the event of a potential hazard, OWL can promptly determine and execute parachute deployment and drone suspension commands within 0.5 seconds, ensuring the safety of individuals and property below.
Lightweight Design with Exceptional Wind Resistance
Flyfire engineers have selected ABS engineering and 7075-T6 (sn) metal materials to maximize structural strength and performance while minimizing product weight (800g). The impact on M300’s battery life is a mere 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Carbon fiber board reinforces the base, offering a lightweight yet robust structure that protects both OWL and the DJI M300 during parachute deployment. The streamlined design effectively minimizes wind resistance, ensuring smooth flight and full functionality of all lower load features without additional endurance loss from wearing OWL.
IPX5, Maintenance-Free for Two Years
OWL boasts a fully-sealed parachute bin and an IPX5 protection rating, safeguarding it from dust and rain.
